What Makes the Sacajawea Hotel a Cool AF Montana Wedding Venue

Everything about the Sacajawea Hotel is seriously SO good. The mountain views, open-air vibes, and actually easy planning make this Montana wedding venue something really special. The flow makes sense, and the spaces feel intentional, which, as a wedding photographer, I know is so important to how the day feels! The Venues at Sacajawea Hotel

Every space here is seriously drop dead gorgeous!! There’s really something for every couple, including multiple ceremony locations to choose from! Here’s everything you need to know about each:

  • The Courtyard: Ceremonies on the lawn with a huge tree as your backdrop?? Yeah, gorgeous AF.
  • The Farm: It requires a little bit of traveling, but it’s worth it for the mountain views, waterfront spots, and wide-open space!! And honestly, it feels more like an intentional pause than an inconvenience. I mean, kissing in the car after becoming a married couple? Adorbs.
  • The Lobby: If you’re planning an indoor, intimate wedding, this is THE ONE. It feels like a really good dinner party that just happens to end in marriage!!
  • The Tent: Summer receptions here are EVERYTHING. It’s so easy to make your own, and it makes for a hella fun dance floor.
  • The Dining Room: Indoor weddings get access to the restaurant dining room as the dining and reception area, and it’s SO cozy in here. Love!!

FAQs About a Sacajawea Hotel Wedding

The FAQs about the Montana venue will help you out a TON while you’re wedding planning, trust me. Here are all the questions my Sacajawea Hotel couples ask me!!

Q: When is the best time of year for a Sacajawea Hotel wedding?

A: It’s literally impossible to go wrong here because it’s stunning 365 days a year. I’ve captured weddings in the late summer and in the fall here and… I can’t even pick which one I liked more. Summer brought lush greens, and fall brought HELLA dreamy fall colors that were both equally gorgeous.

I will say, if you’re planning an outdoor wedding, the Montana weather is the mildest from late spring to early fall!!

Q: Where should out-of-town guests stay for a Sacajawea Hotel wedding?

A: The on-site accommodations are amazing, but if you have more guests than the hotel can hold (okay, party!), you’ll be close to Bozeman, which makes logistics easy with tons of hotels nearby, like the RSVP Hotel and the Kimpton!

Q: What is there to do around the Sacajawea Hotel?

A: Um, everything. There’s SO much gorgeous scenery around that you should def check out if you get the chance, like the Lewis and Clark Caverns?? Unreal!!!

Q: Who is a Sacajawea Hotel wedding right for?

A: If you love nature, charm, and easy, laid-back days, you’ll LOVE a Sacajawea Hotel wedding. Every wedding day I’ve captured here has had the same few things in common: they’ve been real, honest, and fun as hell!! So, if you value experience over perfection and want your day to genuinely feel like you (not over-curated or overly formal), this venue delivers

Sweet client love: “The best decision I made this weekend (other than marrying Mike) was hiring Jessie as our photographer. She was everything I wanted and needed. She made me feel so comfortable and calm and made sure everything went smoothly, even things that weren’t her responsibility. I felt so lucky to have found a photographer I could rely so heavily on, and also had so much fun with! My parents said they got quite a few compliments about how awesome Jessie is from our guests. She is the definition of a professional, and everyone adored her. I cannot say enough good things about working with her.”
