Listen up, babes. When I say bridal boudoir… That doesn’t have to mean white lace lingerie and classic poses if you don’t want it to. And Madison’s session that I captured as her Tennessee boudoir photographer is the PERFECT example of that!! Trust me, when you see this medieval-themed bridal boudoir shoot, you’re gonna be obsessed AFFF.

Why Your Bridal Boudoir Shoot Doesn’t Have to Be Traditional
In basically every aspect of my life, I say fuck tradition!! I’m someone who likes to have a TON of fun, and sometimes that means going a little wild and a little off the beaten path.
Your bridal era is the time to REALLY let your personality shine, like the queen you are!! So if you’re choosing to take bridal boudoir, know that it doesn’t have to follow any rules. There are a ton of boudoir myths that simply just are not true, and thinking that you have to be all sweet and classic and wear all-white for a bridal boudoir shoot is one of them!!
Let’s get into how to plan a bridal boudoir photoshoot that hypes you up, feels like you, and most importantly, that you’ll have SO MUCH DAMN FUNNNN during!!

Boudoir Theme Ideas That Just WORK for a Bridal Boudoir Shoot
Okay, I love a boudoir theme. Whether it’s a super edgy shoot like Leah’s, a super casual, laidback session, or a Valentine’s-themed shoot like Shania’s, know that I’m SOOO here for it!!
We can do literally ANY theme your quirky ‘lil heart wants, but here are a few that I think work EXTREMELY well for a bridal boudoir shoot. And yeah, these always get my girls feeling hot as helllll!!
- Woodland fairy – think Renaissance vibes meets fairy princess. And if we want to go into the forest for this one… I’m always down for adventure boudoir!!
- Retro 70s-inspired – disco balls, bold colors, big hair… We could have SO much fun with this one, babe.
- Angel energy – huge angel wings and soft lighting? SIGN ME UPPPP.
- Old Hollywood – I can picture it now, and yeah, it’s hella hot!! Your pinup curls and red lipstick will have you serving CUNTTT.

Madison’s Medieval Bridal Boudoir Photos
Madison wanted to go medieval for her theme, and I legit haven’t stopped thinking about it since. If you’re here, you’re probs loving these just as much as I am (because, DUH!!), so here’s everything you need to plan a shoot just like this:
- A Tennessee boudoir photographer who will hype you TF up (cough, cough… Hey)!!
- An outfit that makes you feel like the damn goddess you are, like Madison’s flowy white set!!
- A sword, because no medieval-themed photoshoot is complete without one.
- Some candles, to really set the vibe.
We took these at my studio, Wild Alchemy Studio, and it fit the energy of the session SO well. I’ll be obsessed with these and make them my bridal boudoir inspiration forever now, so if you’re looking for a place to take them, let’s gooo!!

When You Should Take Bridal Boudoir Photos

A lot of women will plan a bridal boudoir shoot for a wedding gift, but that doesn’t have to be the case!! It definitely CAN be, but it can even just be a super fun, super cool self-love experience to celebrate your bridal era, if that’s what you want!!
